Dr. Jeffrey Porter and associates are Independent Doctors of Optometry practicing at the Walmart Vision Centers in Crystal Lake and Algonquin, IL.
We treat patients of all ages with the utmost care and provide them with a wide variety of services to maintain good eye health. Our optometrists are committed to provide excellent eye care to all our patients.

Dr. Jeffrey Porter, OD PC
Optometrist
Dr. Jeffrey Porter, O.D. is a resident of Crystal Lake and is married with 5 children. He began his practice after graduating from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1996. Dr. Porter examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages eye diseases, injuries, and disorders. His goal is to provide quality eye care for your entire family.
Dr. Will Watson, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Will Watson, OD is a resident of Lake in the Hills and is married with 2 children. He graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1999. He specializes in general eye care, including the prescription of eyeglasses, contacts, and the treatment of eye problems.
Dr. Richard Nuccio, OD
Optometrist
Graduate of ICO 1980. Major area of interest is specialty contact lenses. (Irving Borish Award winner 1980 for contacts) Co-authored published research 1981 ICLC. Worked in a contact lens finishing lab for two years before graduating. I still enjoy the work and accepting the challenge of the unusual fit.
Dr. Christine Janikowski, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Christine Janikowski joined our practice in Algonquin. Dr. Janikowski has been in optometry/ophthalmology for more than 35 years, with over 26 years as a practicing optometrist. Receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Loyola University in Chicago, and her doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
While at ICO, she completed internships in primary care, pediatrics, low vision and advanced care, with externships performed at Maryville Academy, the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education, and the VA Chicago Health Care System.
She is a member of both the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Porter was wonderful! I am farsighted with astigmatism and I have presbyopia because I’m over 40. This is a difficult prescription to fill for contact lenses but I was adamant I was going to make it work. He was very patient with me while we tried a few strategies to make contacts work for me.
He sent me home with a few trial pairs and it took 3 visits to perfect it but I can see great now and with comfortable contact lenses. I have tried several times with other places but my vision was just never good enough so I always resorted back to my glasses. I genuinely appreciate Dr. Porter’s patience as this is the first time I have ever been successful with contacts. I will be sure to come back!
